Unju Sim
Unju Sim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and now lives and works outside of Washington D.C. Her paintings explore time, perception and her experiences within. Through color, composition and mark making, her intention is to explore the intangibles that manifest in our mundane experiences and alter the landscape of the mind. In the final outcome, her goal is to arrive at a place that is familiar but uncommon, explicit but indefinite, and differentiated but integrated. She searches for a visual language of the interrelatedness of the unrelated.

She received a BFA  from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and later attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA, for a Post-Baccalaureate program. Unju has been participating in exhibitions throughout New England.
